Myeongrang Haenyeo

Jeju haenyeo are female divers from Jeju Island who harvest seafood without the use of special diving equipment. For generations, they have lived in harmony with the ocean, practicing a way of life deeply connected to nature. The haenyeo collect sea cucumbers, abalone, conch, and other marine products from the deep sea, embodying strength and independence. In 2016, Jeju haenyeo culture was inscribed on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, recognized as a significant example of environmental conservation and sustainable resource management.

Myeongnyang Haenyeo is a brand run by a Haenyeo herself. We are involved in various activities to promote Haenyeo culture, which has a long history and tradition, to the world. The brand was created to bring happiness to the lives of haenyeo and to share that happiness with many others.

Currently, we are engaged in a range of activities, including operating a haenyeo experience program and developing and selling various products. We continue to take on new challenges and will keep striving for more in the future.
