At Myeongrang Haenyeo Camp, you'll get to meet these women who have historically led the local female community and demonstrated strong female leadership!
On the first day, you'll learn to mermaid dive and experience being a princess of the sea, and cook and eat the food they eat. On the second day, you'll create an adorable miniature teawak inspired by the most important piece of diving gear for haenyeos, the teawak.
This two-day immersive programme gives you the opportunity to learn about the lives of mermaids from the past to the present through fun and engaging activities.

Armed with traditional tools, seamaids rely on their skills and a buoyancy device called a teawak to collect seafood such as abalone, sea urchins, and sea urchins, octopus, and edible seaweed. Their sustainable methods and deep connection to the sea make their job truly special.
